What is WinnovX HackFest?

WinnovX HackFest 2026 is a national-level two-day hackathon organized by Stanley College of Engineering & Technology for Women, bringing together innovative minds from across India.

Participants choose a focus area and build real-world solutions using modern technologies and AI tools to create meaningful impact.

Stanley College, established in 2008 by the Methodist Church in India, is a premier institution in Hyderabad. Affiliated with Osmania University and approved by AICTE — accredited with an 'A' Grade by NAAC and autonomous status by UGC (2021–2031).

Who can participate in WinnovX HackFest 2026?+
Students from any discipline across India can participate. There are no branch or year restrictions — whether you're from engineering, science, management, or any other field, you are welcome to join.
What is the team size requirement?+
Each team can have 1 to 3 members. Solo participation is allowed. Importantly, a female participant must be the team lead — co-ed teams are fully welcome as long as this condition is met.
Is prior coding or hackathon experience required?+
No prior hackathon experience is required. Beginners are absolutely welcome! The hackathon is designed to encourage participation from all skill levels. Mentors will be available on both days to guide you through the process.
What is the registration fee and last date?+
The registration fee is ₹300 per participant. The last date to register is 1st June 2026. Participants must carry their college ID card and payment receipt for verification on the day of the event.
Can we use AI tools during the hackathon?+
Yes! The use of AI tools, frameworks, and modern technologies is fully permitted and encouraged. The hackathon is designed around building impactful solutions, and leveraging AI is a great way to do that effectively.
What happens on Day 1 vs Day 2?+
Day 1 is focused on idea pitching — teams present their concept to judges and the top teams are shortlisted. Day 2 is for the shortlisted teams to develop a working MVP (Minimum Viable Product) and present their final solution to the judging panel.
What do participants receive?+
All registered participants receive a certificate of participation, lunch and refreshments on both event days, access to mentorship sessions with industry experts, and networking opportunities with fellow innovators from across India.
Can participants from outside Hyderabad attend?+
Yes, WinnovX HackFest 2026 is a national-level event open to students from across India. Note that the event is held in-person at Stanley College, Abids, Hyderabad — travel and accommodation arrangements need to be made by the participants themselves.
How will teams be judged?+
Teams will be evaluated on five criteria: Innovation & Creativity, Feasibility, Implementation/MVP Quality, UI/UX Design, and Presentation. Judges are industry experts who will assess both the Day 1 idea pitch and the Day 2 final MVP presentation.
